  1. (I believe this is @ThRza's banner so thanks) What is Terraria? Terraria is a single/multiplayer survival game where the objective is to collect resources and gear to defeat bosses. That is an extremely oversimplified definition, as you can find plenty of walkthroughs all over the internet and YouTube, like this one here. I recommend you take a peek at it whether you are new or returning to the game, it will be very helpful. What is Our Objective? Our objective will be to at least defeat the Wall of Flesh boss and enter into hard mode. If we get really ambitious, we can knock out some of the hard bosses, but I don't anticipate us defeating the final boss. We will be playing on Normal mode to make it more casual and fun for everyone this go around. May look into a master mode event in the future if there is interest. When and Where? I will host a dedicated server on my computer that I will keep up during the duration of the event to allow players with different schedules to play when they wish, but I encourage you guys to cooperate! I will personally try to get a large batch of players together on Friday from 3pm-7pm and Saturday from 9am?? (If I get up that early lmfaooo) to 12pm when the event ends. Any Rules? - No throwing (intentionally dying during boss battles, destroying houses/throwing away materials) - You must start with a fresh character (no end game builds) - Don't take other's gear/materials without asking. There will be public chests everyone can use (I encourage the use of them as well) - Have fun! We will also be hosting this event through our Discord in the events channel. Click the Discord icon below to join our Discord!
  2. also congrats everyone else!
  3. I would definitely move to CS:S for bhop if it meant a more active community on that server. Good idea.
  4. Sheesh. Good luck in life man. Always mad respect to my computer science homies. Miss the days where it was hours long discussions over jailbreak. Safe and fruitful ventures to ya.
  5. Yo, I think it would be a fun time to have a one-off event for the game Space Station 13. Some of (anyone born after 2003) you may be asking, what is Space Station 13? Space Station 13 is: "is a community developed, multiplayer round-based role playing game, where players assume the role of a crewmember on a space station. Together they must keep the station running smoothly, whilst dealing with antagonistic forces who threaten to sabotage the mission." Sound familiar to anyone? This is essentially (if you ask me), Among Us, but better. It's completely free to play and download and hosting a server is pretty easy if I remember correctly. How to play this game? 1) Download Byond (Game launcher) 2) Find Space Station 13 in the games tab 3) Find a server and play! Playing is pretty simple as you learn as you go. Anyone can run this game because it was made by 2003 computing standards. I think it would be a fun time. More info about the game can be found here: https://spacestation13.com/
  6. so what we do is a little trolling
  7. I get off at 3pm from work and would love to hop in for some games. If these games are chronological, I'd love to hop in some SCP, Terraria, and L4D2
  8. わたしはにほんごのはなします。(watashi wa nihongo no wa nashimasu) This is not how you're officially supposed to say "I speak Japanese", but I only know Katakana and Hiragana so far. I do the best I can without kanji.
  9. Wow. I read about this in Discord earlier and it's kind of difficult to fathom. I was never really close to Roux, but I definitely had some pleasant conversations with him during my years here. He was a really friendly dude and super easy to talk to. He's the man (I assume, at least) that gave me a shot at LA when I was staff here. I hopped in his streams a couple of times over the last few months and had some really nice conversations with him. Despite all that happened to this world and him and his family in the last year, the dude really tried to look on the bright side. His presence, whether big or small for people will definitely be missed. Not much else to be said with all that has been said from those who were much closer to him than myself. May he rest easy. Prayers for his family. RIP.
  10. where is vinyl

  11. It's not that pancakes are bad, it's just that waffles are so much better it's not even a competition.
  12. Back when I was CA/LA, JB and BHOP, the servers I pretty much exclusively played ended up being more fun for me in the discussion side compared to actually playing. When looking back on my time as staff here, I have more fond memories of ET meetings and "Marketing Team" meetings trying to revive the team with the boys and hours long discussions in the JB chat with @fantasticover what was to come for the future of Jailbreak in a time where we were trying to revolutionize our version of the gamemode, as compared to actually just playing the game. BHOP discussions with @Trazzover what maps to add, features to add, and what maps to do for events was a whole lot more fun to do compared to actually playing the game especially in an era where I think SG had its most toxic BHOP regs to date. This is not to say I didn't play the servers, but compared to being a reg when I was playing every day, my playtime definitely decreased as I rose higher in the ranks. I feel this is probably because the higher you go, it feels more and more like a job compared to pure fun. You obviously still have fun doing it, it's just not the same when you're doing it for pure fun and not much more than hanging out with your amigos.
  13. Honestly I would love to see this but I literally don't have the time to dedicate to a 4-hour sitting of the movie. Maybe in the Summer when I'm not flooded with work and schoolwork I'll watch it, I really hope it's good. 4 hours is just crazy though, making Marvel movies look like child's play
  14. Congrats to everyone! Well deserved and hope to see good things from everyone. @Strayyzbro you on the come up I'm praying for your rise my guy @Poke POOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKE
  15. @Chadthis you?
  16. bro made a burner account just to flame someone. respect.
  17. fix the bhop replay bot, ape <3

  18. 1) You are completely part of the problem. People with your mindset are the reason we are still so far deep into this shit 12 months in. Learn to think for others and not be an asshole who disregards the safety of others. I'm really not someone who has any right to preach morals with the stuff I have said in the past, but holding the argument of only caring about yourself in a time like this really shows how dull and socially inconsiderate people are. 2) There will be no return to what normal was before this pandemic. Society is irrevocably changed for better or for worse by this. But, I understand the point you're going for. Let's hope that time comes soon, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.
  19. I moved back on campus despite not having any in-person classes to avoid living with my father. I of course want to go back to in-person classes, but it doesn't really make sense to at this point if you ask me. While the younger populous is generally at a lower risk of complications from infection, that's not to say we don't spread it to others who are in danger of some serious health issues because of COVID. Though I despise online classes and do far worse in them compared to in-person, it's something that I am slowly adapting to. If the way my college is handling having even a portion of their students return to campus is any sort of indicator to how the rest of the schools in the country are doing it, I have very little faith. My college is threatening to shut all extracurricular activities down (clubs, sports, gyms, etc.) and make people stay in their dorm room unless absolutely necessary. They brought back 4,000 more students than they had last semester, I'm not entirely sure why they didn't expect an increase of cases when they didn't require testing before returning to campus, and have very loosely enforced their COVID policies. I also don't really have much faith in the vaccination process being too successful, either. They are estimating that somewhere near 70% of the population would need some form of immunity towards COVID-19 to have "herd immunity". Since there doesn't seem to be too much data on how well the antibodies work over a long period of time (at least last time I looked for any data), the main way of doing this is through vaccination. That's the issue. Not only are there people who don't really believe in COVID, there are also people who just don't want the vaccine. For instance, both of my parents fully believe COVID is a huge issue, but neither of them want the vaccine. I don't really even want the vaccine myself. I would be shocked if we even get 60% of the population vaccinated from this simply due to personal choice, whatever the reason behind that choice. Overall, don't think fully in-person is a smart idea at this point, but I think some form of hybrid system would be best until we reach some form of normalcy with this bullshit.
  20. I'm going to preface this with I have no idea what a twitter moment is. But, if it's not frequently used, why is anything below worth doing? I haven't really seen anyone really complaining about the state of !fo because (at least in my opinion) it's really balanced as it stands. You need to give clear voice orders no one can go "oh I didn't see the chat order" to, the point of !fo is to give an order or two within those thirty seconds, and if the CT doesn't they're liable to punishment. I don't really see what improvements shortening first order would bring. I know there are times especially on maps where prisoners can rebel IMMEDIATELY, sometimes the !fo needs a little more time to give the order. Shortening !fo would only exacerbate the problem of orders not being given. "Plain ass orders" is a whole different problem in of itself. The issue here is not with the system, but with the quality of the guards. Really bad idea imo. I feel like this could be a really slippery slope that would be opened up for guards. If you ask me, giving the CT who has !fo the last guard power of just beaming rebellers would only make the server more toxic with a mix of kids being salty they didn't get !fo, kids salty over the fact that they could be beamed over a minor transgression like not facing their cell, etc. Overall, a fair idea but I think it would fall flat if it were implemented. Edit: above is pretty much what @BloodBladessaid but I didn't read the other replies before making mine. If you want a tl;dr, look at his.

  22. Anyways...

4 years ago I caught the flu and pneumonia right after each other. Was a hellish month I missed of school and it was terrible feeling like death for a month straight. Certainly don't recommend it.
