  1. Happy Friday everyone! I'm going to try and do a poll on a various part of the forums every week (I'll forget after like two weeks) just to get people's opinions on (hopefully) pretty safe topics such as how you do, or don't, enjoy your coffee! Pick every option that applies to you. I personally enjoy black coffee and according to my friend that means I have no soul.
  2. For evidence of these, would we be allowed to show a short video clip if we choose instead of GameMe stats for stuff like the awp kills?
  3. Just looking through the channels of the Discord and I came across the channel with tickets for a discord player report, but there is nowhere it's logged like how it is with player complaints here. Not sure if it's necessary or if it's even what you guys are going for but I figured there would be a log of the player complaint tickets in like a subsection of player complaints so players can see if they are reported. If there isn't a place they are logged (like in a staff section or something), is there a likelihood they will be logged publicly in the future so players can see their reports, who handles it, if they get reported, etc.?
  4. keep it real dawg dont let your sister spill spaghetti on your computer again
  5. EVENT IN 15 MINUTES GET IN BOYS :pogslide:
  6. Map Removal Full map name bhop_spokywinter Type of map Bhop Why should we remove it It's dark, has many weird, protruding collision spots, and multiple parts of the map don't have correct triggers to reset you when you fall. Please remove
  7. Hey I completely didn't realize that the ZE event was at an extremely similar time today! This will be rescheduled for 8 PM Tonight! Sorry for the late notice of this, hopefully, we will see you guys there!
  8. Crazy? I was crazy once. They locked me in a room. A rubber room! A rubber room with rats, and rats make me crazy. Crazy?

  9. Congratulations everyone! Well deserved!
  10. Just because the managers aren't uber active on the servers doesn't mean they don't care. I talk to two of them frequently and they talk about how they have a shit ton on their plate ATM for Jailbreak and are actively discussing multiple topics. Also, not every manager is @fantastic . Just because they don't hop on the server and do goofy speed rounds or low grav rounds doesn't make them any better or worse than him. On top of this, I think CAs are allowed to do fun rounds as long as the managers are cool with it. If you see an AT or CA on, ask them if they can start a vote for a fun round. The worst they can say is no. The literal basis of the gamemode is for the Ts to rebel and take over the prison. Is it really easy for them to do that on maps? Yes, but sometimes it's the nature of the beast. I personally think there are ways to make it a little more balanced, but I've expressed those thoughts elsewhere. I don't think RTD would be a good addition. As far as I can remember from the Halloween event, it was the one thing people didn't want to come back to future events. -- I also agree with @Casual in the sense that for the most part the server is in a pretty good spot. There's nothing sticking out like a sore thumb that is genuinely making the sever die. The server is bouncing between the 200-300 range which is relatively good and I think is our highest rated server ATM. @idealist said it best, be the change you want to see. There's nothing we can do to force CTs to give orders. But, when you're on CT you can give engaging and fun orders and show it can be more fun that the two polarized options of freeday or total authoritarian orders, both of which are no fun when done on repeat day in day out.
  11. I'm rather late but I'm not really in the loop with who steps down anymore. Thanks for all ya did weeb, may you camp one-way forevermore.

  12. My bad, forgot to put time zone. 3PM EST is 9PM your time. I hope you can make it.
  13. thank u @thuxys for the banner What is manhunt? Manhunt is a game mode where one or two people (depending on group size) will go out and find a vehicle that naturally spawns on the map and act like a civilian the best they can so they aren't found. The non-hiders wait for the hiders to hide, and go out and find a vehicle that naturally spawns and do their best to find the hiders without cheating. What are the rules? 1. Your radar must be OFF (Settings -> Display -> Radar : OFF) 2. Your player overhead name display must be off. (Settings -> Online -> Player Overhead Display: NONE) 3. No personal vehicles. 4. Anyone may customize a streetcar at Los Santos. 4. No randomly shooting people in cars in the hopes of getting lucky and killing a hider. 5. Seekers must use single-shot pistols to kill hiders. (No auto pistols, no up-n-atomizer) 6. Hiders can use SMGs to defend themselves against seekers. 7. Hiders may move on foot for a short time but should remain in a vehicle most of the time. 8. Hiders may not hide inside of buildings (you may customize your car in LS for a short time). 9. Hiders must remain within the map's confines. See the map below. How will you prevent cheating? This entire game mode is built off trust that no one will cheat to keep it fun for everyone. Through experience in playing this game, it's clear that not everyone is trustworthy. While I ask that you please don't cheat so it's as fun as possible for everyone, I will be taking an extra measure to prevent cheaters. Each round, someone-- either myself or another volunteer can choose to sit out a round and watch the minimap. Generally speaking, if I or the other observer see a player dart directly for the hider or pause then go directly towards the hider, you will be kicked from the lobby. You will be allowed to rejoin, but if it happens a second time, you will be barred from the event. What's the map? The map can be seen here: (Yes, I know it's scuffed) It is divided into 3 zones, each of which a hider is allowed to enter. If need be, we may require hiders to say one region they will not be in if the turnout is low, but hopefully, we will not resort to that. be there or be square When? Saturday, May 23rd @ 3pm EST Where? I will host a friends-only lobby so we may have privacy. Please PM me here or on Discord if you need to add my social club. While you are here you might as well join our steam group!
  14. Hi. These are all things I plan on doing at least in the semi-near future. I have an idea of how manhunt can be kept clean and fun. Hopefully, these will be things you all publicly see soon. Thanks for the suggestion.
  15. grats boys, hope to see us all do well.
  16. This is completely understandable. My thought process behind replacing a server was just a reallocation of resources to something more successful. In general principle, my further thoughts were along the lines of freeing a manager from a dead server would allow them to work on another server and eventually freeing up space for managers to show interests in their other passion projects that may not be possible if their load is at a reasonable maximum. This is just something I hope to see in the future one way or another, and I'd love to chip in help any way I could to a project like a KZ server.
  17. I don't see an issue with the current system we have at all. While common sense (regarding "split-second") isn't so common on Jailbreak, what you're addressing isn't a prominent issue or really an issue at all. What you're suggesting in the OP gives leeway for the Ts and will unnecessarily disadvantage the CTs further. This discussion can be paralleled with the Ts even having a primary/should we let them drop it without being KOS and end up with the same result. A "reasonable" time for whatever action is not going to be reasonably found without further disadvantaging the CT side. As stated prior, what you're presenting isn't a problem and nothing needs to be changed about this. While everyone's 'split-second' may be different, most CTs are going to be reasonable with their line of KOS and not KOS.

If you're multicouloured that's cool too

  20. While it's valid you feel this way since you partially birthed the Surf DM server, I don't think it's true that a KZ server would die. Unless if my memory is failing me, I don't really remember too many suggestions months ago of people going "yo we need a Surf DM server", and there was definitely hype but I feel that a KZ server would have substantially more going for it from the get-go. Basing off pure statistics, there are 11 servers in the top 1000 that are KZ Climb and only 1 Surf DM/RPG Surf that even cracks almost top 1000. There's a broader player base for KZ Climb since it can allow competitive players to improve their movement, and allow people who enjoy bhop and course style maps to get another server for them to enjoy. A KZ Climb server would reach a bigger market of players than the Surf DM ever would (no offense). Not to mention, we didn't get "lucky" with Retakes or 1v1. Retakes also got months of effort from @Manny and @Cept For Her and has been pretty popular since its inception. On top of this (like @idealist mentioned in shoutbox), it is a competitive mode in a competitive game, allowing it to be more successful by nature. 1v1 for a while was sitting in the dirt too, but once managers and other staff began investing time into it, it has grown to a much better point. This is a shaky analogy, but marketing and putting out the Surf DM server is along the lines of trying to trade away a Case Hardened skin back in skin trading's hay-day. There's a limited range of people who are interested. Point being, all three servers have had effort put into them, but the more competitive ones have yielded a higher rank.
  21. Hi. With all due respect, the Surf DM server is dead and has been dead for a while. It has sat in the Mid 3000s to Low 4000s ranks for months now. In the last 30 days, it peaked at 7 players. When it first came out it was fun, but only while it lasted. This server would have been better off as an MGT in my own opinion. The managers did their best to try and put life in it, but it seems there is no community interest in either playing or bringing suggestions for this server. Something that has piqued the interest of the community for a while now is a KZ server. I don't feel like this would be a niche server that only lasted a short time, but would be a name stay for a while. There are six KZ servers located in the top 500 servers, and I feel like with proper management and time investment, we could make our way up there as well with numerous regulars in our community showing interest in the concept of a server. With an already promising player base, this would hopefully allow our name to get out there on server lists because we are already populated. There are multiple KZ timers that are public and this server wouldn't take too much time to set up as long as the cards were played right.
  22. I personally don't think this idea would be the best. While it's a reasonable idea to reward players for playing on the server we're 'featuring' (even though it's always been in ZE since I joined this place), I think there's a couple of flaws worth mentioning. Firstly, giving some sort of credit bonus on whatever server is being featured devalues credits. Secondly, if the managers are doing an event that boosts credits, would the boost compound? That would further devalue credits. I'm emphasizing credits so much because it's a purchasable currency for our community and a source of income that keeps our servers going from month to month and I think it's important to keep their value reasonably high or else people would stop buying them. There are other ways to go about rewarding players such as having like a "featured model" that bounces from server to server when it's featured. That would give an extra free model for players to use if they play on the featured server, but models aren't an incentive to every player. I dunno, for me this idea has good sentiment in concept but the actual implementation of this I feel could get shaky and take a bit of further debate.
  23. I totally disagree. While the CTs as individual entities are not in a bad place, that doesn't mean there isn't room for improvement. If there are potential improvements to be made to even better their position when they have consistently been getting fucked, it would be good. I honestly don't know the requirements for warden on other servers since I don't play other JB servers too often, but if we did this Head Guard, it wouldn't need to be as hard of a requirement because they aren't given as much power as a full warden. I really don't think this would push this server more toward DM. It's just not that valid of an argument here because the orders you worry about are already being given in most cases. On a map like razor it is the same five orders every round "One step out, face back, and freeze", "Go to big cage", "Go to Iso", "Go to soccer", "Go to pool". This is a specific example, but it is relevant on most maps because there is the same 5 stale orders on every map. If a CTs who isn't the head guard actually give fresh and engaging orders, it's less of a possibility the Head Guard would want to give the same "lol do something that I can kill you easily for then death game and LR" type thing. I think this Head Guard system would push it away from DM because as mentioned prior, it would make CTs think more about the orders they give if they don't want their orders to get overwritten. On top of this, instead of 2-3 CTs leading the crowd, it would be 1, causing less confusion in the case of the three talking over each other. This suggestion is something much safer than my last suggestion, and I think would definitely be a time investment worth making. CTs do not need zero change. Stagnation leads to other servers getting ahead and our server getting stale. Change will lead to success, especially in the current state of the server. This is valid. I honestly like the idea of giving partial armor (if that's even possible) better than full armor. I just don't think CTs need full armor because right now CTs can absolutely farm kills because they have that extra bit of protection and are less likely to actually put thought into their actions and just rely on the fact that they take more shots to kill than the Ts who they can mow down ez-pz. @RemixedPixel (and anyone else I suppose) what's your thoughts on just kevlar and no helmet? Half kevlar, no helmet? I think even just removing the helmet would be a good step because it still gives them protection from body shots, but would reward the Ts for getting a skillful (or lucky, I guess) headshot. What's the functionality of the Juggernaut suit? Does it apply any sort of health buff? The point of giving the Head Guard extra HP is to make them important to protect and gives that guard more of a chance to live since they're leading the round. I do agree with having the suit on to make them stand out would be a good touch though. That's fair. It's a fair statement that the Head Guard wouldn't hold sole jurisdiction over !tmute, and on top of that it may push it too close to a warden. I brought up the idea of some form of "voice stamina" to the managers like a month ago, and we all ended up agreeing by the end of the convo it would be tough to implement because it's not the easiest to determine "how long can someone speak", "what if someone unpresses their mic on accident", etc. If the managers want to comment on that, great. If not, oh well.
