  1. Could you fill me in on why a T needs a full bar of health in the first place if they aren't rebelling? So they can skirt around other orders? It is obscenely easy to follow orders without being warning shot; most of the complaints I hear about this are from people who rebel and skirt orders often, and don't want to be punished so harshly. Given that LRs return your health to 100, there is literally no reason for someone following the rules to care what their health is at. I always see this argument pointed like every CT plays with an AWP, but in reality, very few CTs are actually warning shotting with them, and tend to use their pistols instead.
  2. Warning shots not only warn Ts, but it damages them and discourages them from rebelling. Most warning shots are delivered to Ts who are INTENTIONALLY rebelling or trying to skirt around orders. If they have to spend the round at 15 HP, they'll definitely be more "observant" of orders. In our rebel heavy meta, it's important that you are able to weaken or cripple Ts that may be in a firefight with you in a few minutes.
  3. https://www.steam-gamers.net/forum/showthread.php?t=84805 It's been in the rules. The issue is that nobody reads them before coming up with these mental gymnastics loopholes, or making threads about them.
  4. This allows you to defend yourself from a Detective who is RDMing or trying to kill you as an innocent. Feel free to do so at your own risk, keeping in mind how it will affect your karma. The emphasis is on the word "is" here; meaning, you can't kill a Detective later in the round just because he crossfired you earlier. We understand that the wording here is a little vague, and would like to close potential loopholes. Stay tuned
  5. Can you reread your post again and point out where the argument is? THAT'S THE DAMN POINT OF THE GUN. It offers an advantage mostly to lower-medium skilled players and reduces the skill gap from higher players. As someone who already knows how to aim well, you only see a marginal advantage from it. It's got nothing to do with balancing, you're used to dunking on noobs, and it's harder to do that now. Unlike a competitive game, where players are generally supposed to be in a similar skill level, scrim and retakes include players of all skill levels, which is why I'm sure many people enjoy it. Edmunds stats only seem to prove that lower and medium skilled players are just playing...how they'd actually play - saving for a krieg.
  6. The gold knife is literally impossible to miss with. This on the other hand, one shot and you're done. At least 50% of users would end up dying from holding it out too long or just whiffing their shot. I don't think it would be particularly overpowered or underpowered in comparison, just a different use.
  7. Many skins are seasonal or only on the server for events. This skin in particular was part of @Charliere 's Overwatch event, and was removed from the server when it ended. The issue is that these skins aren't just 'locked' but removed from the server altogether to save space. If you like a certain skin from an event or that you've found elsewhere, and would like it to be added to the store, you can suggest it here.
  8. While it would be nice to have another retakes server, and it would likely perform well, I think this goes in a similar vein as FFA. Apart from population being inconsistent, there's not a whole lot of incentive for people to join our community or donate even if they regularly play these servers.
  9. Retakes is SUPPOSED to be T sided in the same way that executes are supposed to be CT sided. This is essentially a light roleplay that Ts have already taken the site and planted the bomb. In an actual competitive game, the round is essentially theirs 90% of the time. The SG is only $300 more than the AK, so once again, it's not uncommon to see multiple players with it on a buy round if it's what they prefer. I was under the impression that retakes was supposed to train you for actual retake scenarios rather than being just another one of our roleplay/minigame servers; nerfing Ts then would actually make the server less useful and appealing to competitive minded players who actually want to practice. Fairly confident that this is literally just the iTunes effect in action. Couldn't be completely positive without one of the ATs/TAs filling in how the plugin works, but chances are, when randomly shuffling, teams will look similar.
  10. Welcome to the team @Beeen and @Kopsta ! Congrats @ThRza and @fantastic my sweet pea
  11. As someone who has made this suggestion previously (and many variants of it), why don't we meet in the middle? Keep the most popular maps in EVERY pool, and randomize or selectively choose the rest of the maps that go in each pool. The server still gets to keep it's high pop maps, but every once in a while, players will have to choose something unique to play.
  12. Oh it's because she puts cats down too..

  14. You have enough awards @nesquik, stop making up new awards for yourself just to fill that rank bar.
  15. Congrats boys
  16. You can definitely press the button as an inno. Maybe it can be patched, but it is a T-tester after all.
  17. Super Bowl Discussion

    Yo spoilers man, wtf
  18. Yeah, we should also ban talking about sports, music, hell you shouldn't be allowed to talk about the game mode either. If you think someone is harassing other players for their views, or instigating, feel free to make a player complaint.
  19. Could you provide a little more context as to why you think it should be removed? I believe management is already aware of why some people dislike it, but it would help if you could support your argument with something a little more meaningful than "it's unneeded".
  20. Ah shit looks like I won't be able to make this one jk looks like fun
  21. Frankly, I don't binge jailbreak like I used to, but I've taken issue with this for a while. !FO and the T mute, from my perspective, are to help CTs get a grasp on the round and set pace before Ts have a chance to rebel or the round gets too hectic. With this in mind, I don't think !FO should be treated as a warden junior system. It only takes a few seconds to give the first order, which can be witnesses easily. Most first orders consist of the !FO taking ~10 to leave armory, giving the order, and just enforcing their FO until it's over. It's called First Order, so this would make sense. I don't think !FO should be responsible for giving the first few orders of the round, and I don't think it will be helpful either. Extending FO by 20 seconds MAXIMUM would help CTs enforce before the next order is given, but in reality, they don't need extra time to actually give the order and CTs shouldn't be issuing another order until they have control of the round. My suggestions are as follows: FO will not take effect until 10 seconds into the round, giving CTs some time to deliberate before FO starts Chop the regular FO to 20 seconds, causing it to end at the normal time Change the extended FO to 40 seconds, ending it prior to when Ts unmute Allow special orders in FO only AFTER an actual FO is given (still no free days) DO NOT extend the T Mute (if you propose extending it to 3:30, that's literally muting Ts for a third of the round) DO NOT under any circumstance Nerf or punish the Ts because the CTs are losing. Our CTs have become increasingly less skilled over the past months-years. I'm not sure why, but I believe it's related to CSGO becoming more accessible and appealing to younger and less skilled players Maybe even look into having comms team-muted in certain situations, such as allowing CTs to be heard by each other but not Ts during FO/before FO or allowing Ts to talk amongst themselves before they are unmuted at 4:00
  22. While I agree with you, you can't always make the argument that common sense supercedes the rules. You have no idea how much work it took to get KOS off sound approved for TTT. Anyways, because it IS mentioned in the rules, it makes sense that the server management should define it in the near future or strike it from the rules. !FO mutes all other CTs, meaning that other CTs really have no way of telling someone to drop a pistol, apart from typing it in chat, making themselves vulnerable and defeating the whole purpose.
  23. I had previously experienced a very similar feeling with TTT. As regs leave, and new demographics populate the server, the way people choose to play the gamemode tend to change. This means, to a certain extent here, you're the minority. If every other kid on jailbreak enjoys their time, there's really nothing wrong. I think if you could more precisely pinpoint what's going on that you take issue with, it would be easier to approach the issue. Many of us expressed that TTT had become too deathmatchy, and management was more than willing to work with us to improve the gamemode. I'm not sure what exactly what's changed with jailbreak since you've been gone. Quite frankly, I've never found many players have what it takes to be a good CT that takes charge of the round, always needing someone with stones to take charge. Maybe you could clarify the differences between now and when you left to help us better understand.
  24. If there's a cosmetic you take particular issue with, you can bring it up and it may be removed (like the late Banana Joe on TTT ). In general, I think it's best that we let people flex the time and money they've spent on the server, even if it has tiny gameplay advantages/disadvantages.
  25. This thread has been posted and answered countless times. Enforce the rules, educate players, and post complaints to the best of your abilities. When you feel ready and meet the requirements, apply for admin. Should you end up in the reigns yourself, I think you'll get a better feel for why things are the way they are. We can't see everything, and we have strict protocols for how to engage situations and punish players.
