  1. Done. PM it to Caution or myself and we can probably tell you if it's too borderline lol. We haven't put the server up yet to my knowledge, though it will be most likely 66tick. It will be more of an official league configuration, though. Rates will probably be either based off ESEA or CEVO server configs, and there will be no Admin system in place, nor an ebot. (Which I'm assuming you mean some form of automated system of LO3ing matches) This is subject to change depending on what we figure out later.
  2. Mad as fuck.
  3. Every team has now chosen a Captain with exception of Team 6, the highlighted players in each team are the people your team Captain will have to contact to schedule matches once the tournament has started. Also, remember you can change the name of your team if you'd like, just message one of us what it is and we can change it on here and the Tournament section once it is available, have fun with it!
  4. Captains schedule matches with the other team, we will give teams time to schedule, just don't take two weeks or something like that to get your match underway. So talk with your team captain once they are decided and let them know what days/times are best for you, so when they schedule with the other team's captain, you can get a match time that works for all of you. It's explained in the first post. Edit: Damn you Banana. As he said, you don't have to make sure all 5 are on, just 3 are on to play in the match for the full duration. (About an hour to be safe) Hell, you can play with 1 player if you are up to it.
  5. Updated with those who have told me they are Captains so far.
  6. Caution and I are working on a way to display this, the old tournament plugin we used for the 1v1 league is apparently being a pain in the dick as Caution explained it.
  7. 3v3. Everyone needs to understand how that changes things. It's not "What 3 players in another team are as good as those 4 in team one". It's "What 3 players on another team can kill just one of those in team one" if you think of it that way, there's tons of teams that can potentially beat us. In a typical strategy on any map, your whole team is going for one bomb site. In a 3v3 game, the most they can spare is going to be one player at each bomb site. If you use flashbangs and smokes appropriately, a majority of the teams can take me 3v1. Then they have the site, and it's 3v2 where they have the advantage of being on site. If this was a 5v5 tournament, I would entirely agree that Team One is over powered, but it's not. Play smart, don't just look at individual skill level and give up. Take advantage there will be only one player at a bomb site, practice using flashbangs and smokes to essentially guarantee you take the site or protect it until the others can rotate.
  8. Captains of equal skill were considered at first until the roster prevents that from ever being fair to everyone. Fairness simply isn't an option given the roster. You want to give up just cause one team has more good players than the others fine, settle for last place. When I said the other teams have a shot at second and third, I meant that if our team having more good players than the rest really does steamroll, at least everyone else are still able to be in it to win something. It's 3v3, I cannot stress that enough. By us having 4 good players, means one good player isn't playing in the tournament at any one point, essentially making it easier for all other teams to compete.
  9. As stated, fairness is a statistical impossibility given the roster. Out of the 10 teams, there was probably going to be at least 3 or 4 easily overpowered teams. Making it very difficult for any other team to get second or third place. You see it as one team overpowered, I see it as the rest of the teams being easier to compete for second/third place prizes, because one of those four people won't even be playing in the matches. It's double elimination, and stranger things have happened. It's also 3v3 lol. I beat BoM/Banana Joe/Sebaka(I think?) in a pug who also had other fairly decent players with my best pick being Spartan.
  10. With the roster we had it would be a statistical impossibility to balance teams unless we did it manually ourselves, which means people would still be upset. Keep in mind that this is a 3v3 tournament, not 5v5. This means typically in a scrim one team of 3 people are going against one player at a bombsite (possibly two). You take time to practice a strategy and learn that you can't just bullhead charge into a bombsite, and you still stand a chance at winning even if the team you're playing against has individually better skilled players. You just have to work better as a team. The point of this is to figure out what to change and adjust for the 5v5 tournament which will be a much bigger deal, more competitive, and potentially better prizes. Edit: Once the league server is up, Teams can schedule to have an hour at a time of practice where the server will be locked and they can practice strategies. Please contact Caution or myself if you are interested in scheduling a practice session for your team, what day and time you would like, and we will have a separate thread detailing this schedule and available times which we will keep updated.
  11. Please observe the rules given above, ask questions, and start organizing/contacting your teams. We are still shooting to start this tournament off in the first two weeks of April.
  12. SGSL Draft

Yes, one player at a time. Also, for those wondering, Captains were chosen at random using a randomizer. Along with the order they are picking.
  13. SGSL v2

Captains of teams will schedule the times amongst themselves.
  14. It's not as cool.
  15. Floridians apparently are sexually confused.
  16. I support any and all arguments made by this individual no matter where it is posted.
  17. Haha, well, I don't know about anything one on one, but once the lessons start happening which I may try for this weekend, you're more than welcome to join.

  18. I'm not sure if you've played the MMO, but the in-game story lines for each class are ridiculously detailed and in-depth. It's honestly the only MMO I have ever played that made me want to pay attention to the story line. Choosing to play lightside or darkside typically changes the entire flow of the storyline and has you pursuing an alternate objective. Not only can you choose to play Lightside or Darkside, every single class has a different story line, FOR BOTH. Even more so, you can create relationships with your companions. Every companion has their own back story/storyline and you learn about it as you progress through your own story line. Show me any decently made MMO in existence that allows you to change the way main story line progresses or is experienced with your choices. You can't, because it didn't exist until Bioware made it so. Bioware did an amazing job and people give them shit for some of the stupidest reasons I have ever seen for hating a game.
  19. When the test server comes out with the new items, we can take screenshots and make a massive thread of SG Store items along with screenshots/descriptions.

  21. You use a demo, then use custom demo fly-around tools to give a better video of whats going on rather than some guy in spectate with fraps running, it would look shitty. Have you never seen a good CS:S video? They rarely if ever use fraps. They use a demo, then actual video editing software, such as Vegas Pro or Adobe Aftereffects.
  22. Clearly should be an event so stupid people aren't allowed. There will be so many people trying to join, if someone acts stupid just kick them and someone new will take their spot.
  23. You don't use FRAPS.
  24. Are we still talking about real life harlem shake? If so, that video editing would be VERY hard. However, the video edit of a bunch of players in-game doing it, would not be as difficult.
