It's hard to believe this community is nearly 9 years old already, and since we're announcing some new promotions today, I'd like to begin by thanking everybody who held these positions before:
President/Owner, Vice President, Board of Directors, Administrative Manager, Administrative Officers, Executive Officers, Technical Director, Technical Administrator, Account Administrator, Marketing Administrator, Event Coordinator, Web Administrator, Community Enforcers, Community Advisors, and last but far from least, Legends.
Because of the dedication and work you all put into this place, we are where we are today, and we were where we were when others were in these roles before you, with you, and after you. It's amazing to think how much this community has evolved and we really appreciate the things you've done for us. So many of you we can't thank enough for going above and beyond to do things you knew were right or good for the community without being asked, even though it might have required more work, more time, and more effort. But that's ultimately what makes this place run smoothly. Thank you all for dedicating so much time and energy to SG, and ZM for those who were here when it was still ZM.
Many of you may not have seen some of the titles above in years, and some of the newer members may not have seen them before at all. But I think it's important to know how this community got to where it is today, and with the anniversary of our forums approaching shortly, this is a great time to thank those individuals for everything they have done for us. We would not be here if it wasn't for those who built this place in the beginning, so take a moment to appreciate that history that got us where we are. We've had many great higher up teams over the years, and we have a great one now as well. Thank you all.
With that being said, here are the promotions we are announcing today:
We have decided to promote 2 current admins to the rank of Community Advisor. Both are dedicated, longtime admins in the community and we appreciate the input they continue providing for us. Congratulations to Metal and Spazmonkey as they perform these tasks:
Advise the higher staff on important decisions
Handling player complaints and issuing bans
Moderation of the forum
Give awards to members on request
Send group invitations to members on request
Keep servers clean from rule breakers
Issue warnings/kicks/bans
Screenshot/demo proof for permanent bans
Request permanent bans via on the forum
Post in-game server problems on the forum
Help in any way to make the servers fun
Also congrats to Gunner412 who will be joining the Legends. He has been here for ages and has always voiced valuable input to the community. Here is the elaborate list of responsibilities for Legends:

Lastly, SpikedRocker has agreed to join the Board of Directors once again, and we are looking forward to having him with us on the Board. Here are the duties performed in the position of BD:
Support/build/fix servers
Approve admin applications
Set up new Admin and Subscriber access
Issue admin warnings/punishments
Keep the community updated of any changes
Final say in all admin disputes
Plan for growth (website/servers)
Support forum/plugins/logos
Support Teamspeak 3 channels/admins
Grant access rights to Teamspeak 3
Review and implement community suggestions
Promote/demote server admins
Manage public relations/marketing/events
Be a role model to all admins/setting by example
Collect donations, manage subscriptions, and pay the bills
Manage the website, forums, and bansite
Manage AO staffing and responsibilities
... anything else that needs to be done
