This was brought up a couple CA meetings ago and nobody seemed to be "all for it", really wasn't much support at the meeting for it, or in this thread. One alternative that was suggested was a "travel" section, but we felt it wouldn't get much activity, so there isn't really a need for it. In the end, OTF was found suitable for the things you wanted to discuss. EDIT: my bad for not posting a reason for rejected, post must not have went through when I stamped it.
