  1. I think it's fine as it is as the global limit for the healthboost is like 2 or something, and using a healthboost drains all of your CT credits leading you to be vulnerable if you catch yourself in a situation like that again. Having a one-time life saver using all your credits makes sense as if you had bought an item previously to help your team, you wouldn't be able to buy it. I think the healthboost just gives CTs and edge over 1v1s, as if you healthboosted while 2 people are spraying at you with AKs you probably wouldn't win either way. Other items in the menu are all great for different situations, such as the tac grenade to find Ts, the weapon buys and ammo reloads for if you're trying to clutch, and the healthshots for a less pricier health boost. In summary I think the health boost is balanced enough as it only helps in certain situations and since it wastes all your CT credits.
  2. @TheZZL as CA O.O Congrats!
  3. I understand where you're coming from and chat orders may be stupid but there are a lot of players who play CT and are mic-less. I don't think we should force people to use their mics if they're not comfortable using them and/or don't have a mic. If you were an 8 year old prepubescent boy would you want to be forced to use your mic all the time knowing the server's just going to hate you for your squeaky voice and annoying tone? Chat orders being allowed helps in certain predicaments that a voice order only server wouldn't help with. Things such as: - Ts getting chaotic so no orders can be heard (since we don't have a warden system so we can't force them to shut up) - Last CT(s) not having mics and then being unable to give orders We shouldn't be forcing people off CT for not using their mics so I don't think chat orders can be eliminated, no matter how frustrating they are. The abuse of chat orders in their "broken state" can be fixed in my opinion by the implementation of a plugin such as this, so we don't force people off the server and it will be a lot less problems arising from them that you have mentioned. People have different reasons why they aren't using their mics and those reasons shouldn't be seen as invalid.
  4. Voice still overrides chat in this situation like @TheZZL said, the only thing this would be changing is how chat orders are delivered and a better system to keep track of orders. People abusing this plugin could always be subject to punishment just like abusing !fo as well. I also don't think people will get confused with alerts because it will let both teams know there is a chat order so conflictions don't happen, I don't see how defining what is an order and what isn't makes things confusing. The only time someone would talk over a chat order would either be revoking the chat order or not seeing it, and allowing alerts would mean the CT team would actually notice the orders and cause less confusion, that way, the only situations where voice would override chat would be to revoke a bad order or a CT being a dick, both which we can't solve. If you guys are so against the alert idea we could just do without, because a noticable format for chat orders that I had suggested in the original post will definitely be more recognizable and clear than what we have now.
  5. To answer your first question, basically the same as !fo, no unreasonable orders and no abuse of the command. FDs should be allowed though in normal orders. To answer your second question, I did state that chat orders would be invalid unless you use this command, which would make it a lot less confusing to discern if it is an actual order or not, simply just giving an order without using this command would be invalid. As of now, people can say certain things in chat that could be taken as an order and it would confuse both the CT and T teams, especially if people start screaming stuff like "read chat" when it says "go to armory" in chat, where it could be interpreted as an actual order instead of a command one guard is telling another. To answer your question about the cooldown, it really is up to the managers. I think the order "freeze" should be an exception, but I'm not sure how it would be implemented. The cooldown should be server-wide to prevent too many orders going on at once, and to prevent conflicts in chat orders.
  6. Was wondering if we could implement a plugin similar to what was mentioned in this thread. I think it's a great idea since there are usually problems that arise in cases of chat orders not being seen because of things flooding chat and/or people not noticing chat orders are given. The idea is to implement a command such as !o [message] that will classify as a "chat order" and would display in a special format in chat and will pop up in the alert box on your screen. This will be very similar to when someone gives a chat order in !fo, but will be done during the round and will have all the same properties as the current chat orders; the only difference is it will be easier to see and will prevent the abuse of chat orders confusing everyone. For example, you could type !o All Ts Freeze and it would display: - [Order] Name : All Ts Freeze in chat and/or - All Ts Freeze in the alert box I think to adapt this idea to our current JB server the command should only be used every 15 seconds, because: • CTs are only allowed to give the off-mic order for 15 seconds at a time. This should only be used when they’re attempting to give an order, but the Ts are being too loud to do so. I think this rule is outdated because some CTs don't use mics and shouldn't have to need one, so the second part doesn't make much sense. Back to the topic, I think that having a command that allows you to give a chat order that displays in the gray alert box every 15 seconds will help with all the confusion of chat orders; we can also make it so that chat orders are only valid using this command, so there are less conflicts, etc. The same rule applies where if there are orders being given in voice chat, chat orders are inferior, and abuse of this command can be monitored by admins similar to the !fo command. Not sure why the other thread ended on such a weird note but I guess the idea was just scrapped
  7. You could always just use a buy bind such as: bind [key] "sm_menu tac; sm_menu healthshot" To buy multiple things at once. Storing 2 tac grenades at once is kinda like hoarding them because globally you can only purchase like 5, and having 2 right off the bat and not using both of them doesn't allow players to buy them in times of need. The CTBuy plugin is being recognized amongst most regulars and is branching off to new players as we speak, I think we just need to give it a bit more time and it will be more publicly known.
  8. This situation is literally like the gun toss rule "throw before touching the ground" and then classifying everything as not a "ground" but as a surface. Its just stupid and is obviously not what it is.
  9. Who uses martrydom? idk tho ask @Trazz maybe he forgot to implement it or something
  10. Well the 7 Days of Quarantine 2: Electric Boogalo was definitely one of my favourites as I won like 70$ in games for free just being a nolife (DOOM lets go). The TTT event was fun and interesting but I feel that it could've been spiced up further, such as a speed boost or a health nerf to make it more lively and chaotic like a game of COD would be.

  15. Discord Rules

What I meant is that you should not be assuming something is sexual based off of putting pieces in your head together, content is a different matter. Revising what I said I do believe that playing a little kid's game may influence some unwanted remarks and a line could be drawn, but in the end you don't know the person's true intent unless you see it. I could believe that Dominic could've just been playing the game for some wholesome fun but that was not the case for others. I see how a situation like this can look really sketchy and there should be a restriction on some content, I just don't understand why the person playing the game would be punished for other's unfortunate actions.
  16. Discord Rules

It's not sexual unless it is clear that they are trying to be sexual about it. It's not good to assume things and always leads to things like this. If it is clearly seen that someone is being sexual about something you would know, don't get offended by people doing their own weird things and assuming they're up to no good. Don't be drawing conclusions on people especially like Dominic who are just weird. Punishing the people who you can see are giving sexual remarks about it makes sense but I don't get why Dominic was punished.
