  2. TTT Jihad

    Supposedly the new plugin doesn't have the arming sound, and the "LOLOLOLOL" sound is what makes the jihad THE JIHAD, the arming timer prevents someone from spontaneously buying this item to destroy a crowd; it'll be way too OP and be the new random TP if these changes were made. It's like just straight up blowing up without any warning and/or preparation, and any T could do this at any time, completely ending the round. I think it's fine right now and we don't need to seriously nerf or buff it.

    I don't think the Jihad needs a nerf like this as the Jihad is already a weapon that can be countered very easily. There are multiple weak spots of this weapon that make the T vulnerable, such as: 1) The high(er) credit price 2) The time it takes to arm, in which makes you vulnerable as you would probably not be able to buy any other T items 3) The actual jihad that leaves you vulnerable and takes your life if you successfully use it These weak spots counter its devestating explosion so I feel it is a balanced item, maybe even an item that needs a bit of buffing in terms of arming time and damage radius.

    2-3 years ago, I was a toxic motherfucker. It's really hard to change your attitude on servers (especially JB) when you have so many infuriating things affecting you. It's really hard to do a full 180 and it took me a whole break that lasted longer than a year from CSGO to change my demeanor when playing. Even though I haven't seen the previous daft, I can still see the momentous change in your attitude in SG. Like others said, recently you've been contributing a lot of good ideas on our forums and try to help our servers become a more clean and fun environment for everyone. If you just keep your momentum and keep doing what you're doing I'm sure people would see you as a great player and not some toxic dingus who feeds off of the rage of 12 year olds.

  7. Flashlights

    Although it could get annoying, it's not that loud IMO compared to people normally speaking in VC. The only thing it would do is distract you, as it doesn't prevent you from hearing other sounds such as gunshots and VC. Yes, people can come together and spam it and you would hear a clicking sound, but usually, they don't do it very long (finger stamina), and if they do you could always just turn down your game volume so it is barely noticeable.

    Just.... don't use the flashlight? Or inspect your weapon? I'm not sure why we need to edit a plugin that is causing an extremely minor problem.
  9. I think here you mean 1 CT for every 3 Ts right? (Please tell me it's this and you're not serious it should be 3 CTs to 1 T) I think the problem with this is that it would overall tip the balance of the rounds in favor of the Ts for every single round. I've been very active on the JB server and the CT team usually only wins 1/3 of the rounds even when ratio is 1:2 or greater. Having even less CTs, with our rules of giving warning shots and the ability for ONLY TWO Ts to gang up on one CT and take them down (by doing two co-ordinated right clicks) would make the rounds end extremely quickly, as shown whenever there are a lack of CTs. With the issue of inexperienced CTs that camp and delay, changing the ratio will not help with them: I think it may just cause a higher percentage of incompetent CTs on CT side than it currently has. Allowing more numbers on CT side will help prevent them from getting completely floored in the first 20 seconds of electric, and will allow more CTs to actually gain experience on CT side without getting wiped via the support from more experienced players.
  10. I think the only reason people are stacking CT may have been the CTtime reset, as shown on the flip side with the T points reset. Hopefully it will fix itself, but I do think there should be a stricter system in check to make sure the ratio doesn't go past 2:3 on some heavily T sided maps and 1:2 on other maps.

  13. The admins vs members on JB was fun, and it shows that it can be a recurring event that will bring people to the server. A repeat of this event will definitely bring back the same turnout as the simple mechanics of the event really appeals to the player base. The Shot4Shot event definitely started out very rocky, and I feel that some sort of simple plugin or set of commands for the map could really help. Having teleporters to actually place players into the arena instead of admins doing it will help make the gameplay go more smoothly, as shown by the very slow 50 minute first round. It definitely was an interesting map for it to be held on, but another suggestion I have for this event is to actually have multiple "themed" arenas and have admins monitor each one, it will help make things go more smoothly and will spice up the dull arena we had for the s4s. The Skribbl.io event was, well, interesting. Of course, we had fun trying to draw stuff and were all terrible at it, but there were a lot of people trolling and giving answers out, which kind of ruined the mood for some players.

  17. I agree with the fact that we shouldn't have 2 of basically the same maps which are both equally not played on the server. These maps are kind of third tier maps, which are usually only voted when: 1) People tell everyone in VC to vote for said map 2) The map is in the number 4 place during voting (where people usually click when they don't care) 3) There are no other maps in the voting poll that people know how to play/want to play The only difference I see between both the 2k17 and the v8 are the games that are on the map. However, with the preference of both climb and monopoly I see when we play said maps, and the hated teleport tower, jb_lego_jail_v8_final_sg_fix should be the map to go, not the 2k17 version.

  20. I mean a gang could be capped to like 5-8 players, making it more competitive with a lot more groups. Also with the topic of rewarding for time, it would allow a lot more fairness instead of just "chy" carrying everyone, with time implemented people may/may not get carried: in the case of the current !rankme leaderboards for time, its me and chy with a lot more people trailing.
  21. I only grinded points in the early days of the reset to bring a name for myself, and I actually enjoy grinding for CT time more than T points. Grinding for CT time has a lot less variables and rewards players not for their skill, but for their dedication to the server. I definitely agree with the fact that the gangs plugin could change how people play the server, and it will be a lot less troublesome to play CT side. Jailbreak is definitely fun on T side based on all its aspects, not just rebelling. Maybe there is a way to either periodically give points every 10 or so minutes of connection time, or just count the time, but with the current issues of the WACK JB time counter it may be hard to use. I still stand behind my suggestion of adding a multiplier based on the number of clan members online, as that would boost co-operation and playtime to reach the top of the leaderboards. However, people may just stop rebelling all together as there really would be no incentive to get kills; they may just make the rounds boring as the Ts would just stay alive until a deathgame or something (and with every round resulting in usually the same deathgame every round, it gets repetitive). Maybe there is a way to implement a point system in gangs that is mainly based on playtime, but still rewards for kills and stuff (as some people enjoy the current points system and may burn out and just leave the server). The things that make SG's JB unique are its unique set of rules and generally T-sided gameplay. I don't want to see the server drift too much towards the gameplay of other servers, we should still encourage rebelling but also definitely reward playtime by implementing the gangs plugin to revolutionize the ranking system that currently promotes monotony.
  22. I think that with some time someone would be able to edit the map so that it is more close to what it used to be. Things like: - Removing the one-way - Blocking off certain vent pathways (to resemble what it used to be) - Adding a breakable vent - Possibly changing the location of the kitchen teleport I'm pretty sure all these problems are fixable, and the reason the current map replaced the old VIP was because people didn't like the stale gameplay, so with a larger map and more deathgames rounds can be more interesting; obviously it was just added and there will probably be many fixes, just like how the old VIP came to be.
